My partner and I went to Inn on the lake for a late lunch, there was a party booking in so they were quite busy which probably accounted for the food not being its usual standard. I ordered Pie & chips. The pie was congealed inside but edible. The service however was really good. I’ve met this young man on a few occasions that I’ve dined there. He is always cheerful and engaging. He knows the menu and goes out of his way to assist. An ideal location. pliantly of room inside, garden space and parking. They provided tea, coffee and a buffet. the food was Wonderfull with enough to go around for a party of 150+ people. I am very late posting my review! We held our wedding reception at the Inn on the Lake in September. Leigh and the team were fantastic prior to and during the day. GOODVerified Would thoroughly recommend for a family celebration where people can relax and enjoy themselves Booked inn on the Lake for my Mums 80th. Cant praise inn on the Sharon, Leigh and Inn on the lake team enough. We used the back room and chose the hot buffet which everyone enjoyed immensely. We felt the whole evening was very good value for money with good service as nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend if you looking for somewhere to host a celebration.Verified Debatable Had a couple of parties here, which in the past have been ok, but recently at a family party, I had fish and chips that was cold, I had tasted the end and the fish was broken in half, I mentioned and they said the would heat it up..... For context I have a medical condition..... Waiter left, returned a minute later with the broken fish having been dipped back in the fryer and sodden with oil and inedible, not good, even though I hadn't eaten, annoying as everyone around me was eating and I felt self conscious, but not a problem with said medical condition..... When I went to pay, I said I have paid the £5 deposit each for myself and my partner, so please just take that off my partners meal..... To then be told I had to pay for my meal in full as "it had been cooked"..... After much discussion we came to an agreement, but definitely not the best food or customer service for me..... And stocks of certain very popular drinks were depleted and they were out of stock by 18:30pmVerified Saturday Lunch Great food, fantastic service. Portions are very generous. We came to Milton Keynes to meet up with family and had a fabulous meal. The staff were so friendly, especially to my dog :-) who was made to feel very welcome. We recently had our company social at the Inn on the Lake, as we loved the idea of the BBQ buffet. From the first interaction, Leigh and Sharon were totally on board with my idea for the social and went above and beyond to help deliver a really great company social. It's a beautiful area next to the lake, giving us plenty of room for games of rounders. The food was amazing, they allowed us to have inflatables and provided us with giant games such as connect 4 which was a really fun addition. The service was excellent and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone looking to host a group party/gathering. Thank you so much Leigh, Sharon, Suzanne, Claire, Hayden, James, Sadie and Alvin. You were all excellent!Verified A lovely warm welcoming family pub! Only stopped for a drink but we’re made to feel so welcome! Take That we’re on at the stadium and the place was packed with fans who had pre-booked however we were welcomed in for drinks and chatted to the owner and his son. Absolutely lovely family atmosphere and although we didn’t eat the food looked lovely! Would 100% come back as it’s so rare to find such lovely accommodating staff especially during such a busy period. The owners clearly love what they do and put their customers first! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our ever need, helping us decorate the back room and last minute dietary needs that they accommodated quickly and went out of their way to help. All staff were so warm and welcoming, thank you all for everything you did for us, you are all a credit to the Inn. The back drop of the lake, trees ect is beautiful. The food was delicious and they even provided take away boxs for everyone to take home left overs if you wanted. Thank you all for a lovely day.Verified Great Sunday Lunch Great sunday lunches! Very generous roast beef dinner (husband had to finish the meat for me. He gad Gammon joint which I tested and both agreed very good. Nice crackling with the gammon. Both had desserts and a pint of soft drinks each. £50 in total. Liked that most of their normal menu was available as well. Lovely staff friendly and genuine.
